What is Now in Books?
Now in Books is a media and e-commerce company that offers subscription boxes for readers.
How does subscriptions work?
Subscribers select a subscription option before setting up their account with billing and shipping information. All subscription options automatically renew until cancelled.
When is this month's subscription cut-off date?
Subscription cut-off dates are usually on the 11th of the month but you should confirm that date by checking the sign up page.
How much does it cost?
We offer several subscription options. Please refer to each in the shop. Sales tax will be applied to purchases shipped to locations in which we operate a physical location.
Can I pay by check?
Yes! While paying by credit card ensures you receive the current box we do accept checks as a payment option. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
Can I cancel/pause my subscription?
Subscribers can cancel their plans at any time through their account or emailing email@example.com. Canceling will not interrupt the delivery of any remaining boxes but will immediately terminate your next automatic renewal date. We don't have the ability to allow you to pause your subscription through your account but if you send us an email we will be able to pause your account or provide a credit if your card has already been charged.
When are boxes shipped?
Boxes are shipped out beginning the 15th of each month.
How much is shipping?
We offer flat rate shipping throughout the United States for $6.99. Our "Book Only" options receive 3.99 Media Mail flat rate shipping.
Do you track packages?
Your tracking information will be emailed to you once your box is mailed out.
How long will it take to receive my package?
We send our boxes through priority mail to ensure they arrive quick and safe so you don't have to wait long to read the latest books. Based on your location boxes can typically take 2-4 days to receive once it's submitted for delivery. International order can take up to a week. The "Book Only" subscription options are sent through media mail and can take 7-1o business days to arrive at their destination. *Please note shipping times have extended due to COVID-19.*
Can I return my box?
Sorry, we do not accept returns for our boxes. If there is an issue with your items please email us immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org
I am a school, business, or organization that requires an invoice before I can send payment. Is that possible?
Yes, we have several schools and teachers who order from us and will be able to accommodate your institutional needs. Please send us an email at email@example.com with additional information regarding your request.
I run a book club and would like to order multiple boxes or create custom boxes. Is that possible?

Do you offer any discounts?
Yes, we offer a number of discounts throughout the year. If you'd like to be alerted, make sure you sign up for our newsletter.

I got an error message. What happened?
Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with the error message info for assistance.
My error message says "There are no shipping methods available. Please double check your address, or contact us if you need any help." What does that mean?
We offer a media mail shipping rate option for our "Book Only" subscriptions. Unfortunately, it does not play well with others and you can not have any other items that are not "Book Only" in your shopping cart. To resolve the issue remove all other items and it should adjust automatically. Once you've completed your order. You can go back and add the other items to your cart.
